Brief Biography: He was born Oct 12, 1865 in Maryland to Walter Angelo Powell (1829-1911)and Cecelia Marie Gibmeyer Gillmore (1835-1910) W. A. Powell and Cecelia had 7 children: known names are Ann Elizabeth Powell Bohn, Flora Powell, William C. Powell, Mary J. Powell Walters, Edmond Grey Powell, Lelia E. Powell Noyes & Cecilia "Lillie" Powell.
He first married Sept 29,1885 Grace Theresa Burvenich at the St. Joseph Cathedral, St. Joseph, MO performed by Rev F. Ignatius Conrad O.S.B.
He then married Orena Ranaford (1863-1935} and moved or Oregon.
He died Mar 7, 1931 in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon, USA and was buried in Mount Mora Cemetery in the Powell Mausoleum on Mar 20, 1931
