Brief Biography: Robert Nash, III, 60, St. Joseph, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 11, 2012, at the local hospital.
Bob was born April 27, 1952, to Robert and Winifred Nash in St. Joseph.
He was a graduate of Christian Brothers High School and Missouri Western State University.
Bob worked at the State Hospital in St. Joseph while attending college.
He then was employed as a salesman for various dental labs.
Before he was disabled in 1997, he was employed by the Kansas City Convention Center as a Special Events Coordinator.
Bob had a vibrant personality that was enjoyed by his many friends and family, who loved him dearly. He was an avid collector of “breweriana†and was past secretary of the National Brewery Association (NBA).
Survivors, beside his parents, include: two sisters, Cathy Wilson (Bud), Buhl, Idaho and Jeanne Moore (Gene), Mound City, Mo.; four nephews, Kevin Moore, Cullom, Ill., Alex Moore, USN, Norfolk, Va., Walter Godleski (Terri), Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Drew Nash, Twin Falls, Idaho; an aunt, Jacqueline Sharpsteen, Columbia, Mo.; uncle, Walter (Carole) Sharpsteen, Wellington, Kan.; many cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Bob was a Christian and will have visitation after 12 p.m. Thursday, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith and Sidenfaden Chapel, where the family will receive friends 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening.
Prayer service 11:30 a.m. Friday at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, Father Ron Will, C.PP.S. officiating.
Private interment: Mt. Mora Cemetery in St. Joseph.
