| Brief Biography:
Mary Esther McKnight, 64, of St. Joseph, Mo., passed from this life on Saturday, May 9, 2009, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born June 4, 1944, in St. Joseph, the daughter of Esther and William Goldizen.
She attended Platte Business College.
She worked as a Nurse Aid with Thompson & Brumm Clinic and the St. Joseph State Hospital. She was also a Home health Nurse.
She was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, John Frank Goldizen and Terry Goldizen.
Survivors include her fours sons: Jeff Croce and wife, Kim, of Excelsior Springs, Mo.. Walter Clyde McKnight, Jr., of Agency, Mo.; Steven McKnight of Keller, Texas, and mark McKnight and his companion, Steven Coburn, of St. Joseph; a daughter, Connie Cooper of Chillicothe, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Nicky Joe Goldizen of Agency, Mo.; William E. Goldizen II of Savannah, Mo.; and Clifton Goldizen of St. Joseph; sisters, Angie Goldizen of Savannah; Bessie Wilson of St. Joseph; Billie Krull and husband, Phil, of Savannah; and Toni Holcomb and her companion, Leon Andrews of St. Joseph.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 13, at 2 p.m. at the Rupp Funeral Home, Rev. Kim Glacometti officiating.
Interment will be at the Mount Mora Cemetery, St. Joseph, Mo.
