He was born August 19, 1951 to Charles and Norma Jean (McMachen) Buffey.
Bud graduated from Central High School and later received his Bachelors in social work and political science at Missouri Western State University. He was a social worker for the State Hospital for over twenty-five years.
He was an avid reader and a political junkie.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and brother, Ricky Buffey.
Survivors include daughter, Samantha Shehan; friend and longtime companion Diana Taylor; grandchildren, Michael and Isaac Shehan; father, Charles Buffey; sister, Vicki Stubbs; beloved dogs and cat, Nicky, Sunshine and Mooshie.
