Pioneer Citizen Ill From Lung Trouble at St. Joseph
Republic Special--
St. Joseph Mo., Aug 9.--Judge Fitton, aged 85 years, is reported dying to night of congestion of the lungs.
He was a warm friend of Henry Clay, and enjoyed the acquaintance of all the public men in the early days. He came here forty years ago and figured prominently in Missouri politics until old age compelled his retirement. |
