Brief Biography: Obituary from St. Joseph News-Press July 31, 1953
Mrs. Bertha Drew Foulk, widow of Henry C. Foulk died yesterday at a St. Joseph hospital at the age of 86. Her home was at 2236 Jule street.
Mrs. Foulk was born in Hammondsport, N.Y., and mover to St. Joseph at the age of two. prior to her marriage Mrs. Foulk was a school teacher and served as the first principal of Hosea School.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and served as regent for two years. She was also a member of the mary Alicia Owen Storyteller's League and was the oldest member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one niece, Mrs. H.E. Hoppel, St. Louis, and one nephew, Charles S. Drew, Webster Groves, Mo.
The body is at Heaton-Bowman's mortuary where services will be tomorrow morning at 11. Dr. E.B. Whitcomb will officiate and burial will be in Mount Mora Cemetery. |
