Brief Biography: St. Joseph Gazette July 1, 1926 Mrs. Mary Johnson Dead Widow of William Berry Johnson was 84 years old: Illness was Brief Mrs. Mary Kurtz Colhoun Johnson, Widow of William Berry Johnson, died Wednesday morning at her home, 2303 Francis street, after a brief illness. She was 84 years old and had been a resident of St. Joseph for 6 years. She was a member of Francis Street Methodist church, and in her youth was a charter member of the First Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon at the residence, Dr. J. F. Caskey officiating. Burial will be at Mount Mora cemetery and will be private. She leaves six daughters, Marietta C. Johnson, Mrs. Daniel Morton, Mrs. W.E.Swank, Miss Nellie Johnson, Mrs. W.A.P. McDonald all of St. Joseph, and Mrs. L. K. Grundy of Pasadena, Cal.; a son, Edward Percival Johnson, Claremont, Cal.; and two sisters, Mrs. C.D. Smith of Kansas City and Miss Addie Colhoun of St. Joseph.
