Frederick Bauer, eighty-one years old, a well known German resident of St. Joseph, died at his home, 1706 main street, after a illness of five days of pneumonia.
Mr. Bauer was born at Koenigreich, Baiern, Linden Halle, Germany on November 15, 1819. He came to America in 1847 and settled at Bradford, Indiana. He was married at that place in 1863 to Miss Agnes Jesburg (the rest is cut off at the bottom)
The couple moved to St. Joseph thirty-three years ago and lived in this city since. Two children survive, Mrs. Frederick Neudorff of St. Joseph and Edward C. Bauer of Pilot Point, Texas.
Mr. Bauer was a member of the German M.E. Church. Prior to the time he was stricken he was hale and strong for his age. Mrs. Bauer is also quite ill with pneumonia. up to several days ago her life was despaired of but she is now improving. The funeral will probably take place Sunday afternoon from the German M.E. Church, Third and Robidoux streets. |
