Brief Biography: Obituary from the St. Joseph News-Press Sep 20, 1942: The funeral of John F. Beaty who died yesterday morning at his home on DeKalb road, will be at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in Meierhoffer's chapel with the Rev. L.D. Boatman officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Mora Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Beaty, Everett Kieffer, Clarence Kieffer, Charles Court, Thorne Nelson and Clifford P. DeVoe. Mr. Beaty was the father of Charles E. Loarn R.., and Louis C. Beaty, who are widely known in the St. Joseph territory for their connection with the Beaty food and grocery enterprises. |
